About PaperVote

The reader-ranked chart for research papers.

PaperVote helps readers find papers, record whether they would recommend reading them, and explore transparent rankings by subject.

Who runs it

PaperVote is an independent project created by a researcher based in London.

What it measures

PaperVote asks one narrow question: would you recommend that another reader spend time on this paper? The answer is not a measure of scientific validity, peer review, scientific consensus, citation impact or agreement with a paper’s conclusions.

What makes it different

Search engines tell you what exists. PaperVote shows how readers respond. Papers need at least five independent responses before receiving a numbered rank.
